July 26 | Friday, at last. I’ll be packing up to leave tomorrow morning, but Airventure will continue through Sunday, with another night airshow Saturday evening.

July 25 | Thursday is Orlo Hawaiian shirt day, so I dig into my bag and pull out the one Hawaiian shirt from my closet and get dressed for another day at Oshkosh.

July 24 | Is it already Wednesday? Is it only Wednesday?

July 23 | It’s Tuesday afternoon, about 3 central time, and I’m sitting on my cot in my tent working on today’s blog with the latest thunderstorm rolling through.

July 22 | Another day is going by and I’m sitting here in my camp chair under the wing of my airplane, my laptop computer on my lap where it’s supposed to be, listening to Django Reinhardt again. The airshow is going so the noise of the airplanes sometimes drowns out the music, but I soldier on.

July 21 | It’s a strange feeling, sitting here at Oshkosh beside my airplane and tent, thinking that there is a whole world of mine half a continent away, where my wife Catherine, my two dogs Tillie and Odie, my daughters and sons-in-law, my granddaughters, great granddaughters and great grandsons all wait for my return.
